Aylesbury is the county town of Buckinghamshire and is famous for the Aylesbury Duck. Nearby are the market towns of Amersham and Buckingham surrounded by relaxing pubs, pretty villages and numerous country walks for all the family.

If you are looking for culture, why not enjoy Buckinghamshire's rich literary heritage including Mary Shelley and TS Eliot. This is also where Roald Dahl wrote his famous children's stories and you can visit the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery in Aylesbury. Alternatively you could explore some of the magnificent country houses in the area. Buckinghamshire boasts the highest number of National Trust properties open to the public in the country, many of them open all year round.
